About the Author
Harvey Rooster is the pseudonym for a best-selling crime writer who decided to take a break from writing blood soaked, hardboiled thrillers and write purely for his own beautiful children. Errol Come Home is the first in the series, with Errol’s Christmas and Errol’s Tuna Mystery to follow shortly. As long as the little ones enjoy, then Harvey Rooster will be a happy man. And if others enjoy too, then all is good. Regards. Harvey Rooster
Errol is a sleek, black cat with soft, velvety fur and small, pointy ears. His eyes are as green as emeralds and his nose is like a little, pink button. Errol loves nothing more in the world than eating tuna.
Errol Come Home is the story of Errol’s rooftop ride from being number one in the household to ‘paw’ relation when the ‘little ones’ arrive. Errol soon discovers his quiet life of sleepy cuddles and full bowls of tuna has changed forever. So he journeys next door to find the lady with the red finger nails who has turkey chunks in her gravy. Will he continue to ignore the sad calls from his loving little ones? Will he reunite with his family? Or will he stay next door, tuna-less forever?
Written for his own children, Harvey Rooster has created an instant classic!
I just finished reading “Errol Come Home”,a delightful tale of a pampered cat who just loves his tuna. Errol suddenly feels unloved and ignored after the arrival of two young children. He leaves home and well, the rest you will have to read for yourself and your children. This is a lovely story beautifully illustrated by Jacoba Dorothy,”written in a nice gentle style” says another reviewer and I could not agree more. Read it and you’ll love it. So will your kids!

I was immediately hooked by the story because it’s told from the point of view of the adorable cat, Errol. As a cat lover myself, I was also pleased that the cat looks exactly like one of my own cats. He’s black, shiny, and has green eyes. Errol leads a pampered life with his two adult humans. They shower him with love and affection, and with tuna and milk. He’s a very happy boy–until his humans bring home two children to live with them. Errol’s confused. He doesn’t know who these little people are, or what they’re doing in his home. Suddenly, Errol isn’t the center of attention. His life is changing. Even his food is changing. He isn’t happy.
I can’t tell you the whole story, because I don’t want to spoil it. But, you and the little people in your life will love it. There are some great messages to take away from the story, too…
